I spend a considerable amount of time in the little room with purple walls right off the dining room of my house. It started as a library and playroom, but over time it’s become more and more an office of my own.
I have three bookshelves, two that serve as a library, and one that houses copies of my books and other work projects. The only furniture I purchased in recent memory is the new coffee table and three white board calendars that hang on one wall. I set my goals in quarters so monthly calendars help me strategize. My vision board reminds me of the life and experiences I’m targeting.

One of my favorite pieces in the room is the stained glass lamp that I got from a buy nothing group. When I sit at my desk, I like to take a quick break and watch the squirrels and Cardinal family that hang out in the branches outside.
As much as I enjoy spending time in my office, I often remind myself to get out into the world. That’s often where the ideas come from and who I do much of this work for. The world, plus me.
