Rebecca M. Zornow is a science fiction writer from Wisconsin. She is the 2020 Winner of the Hal Prize and graduated from Lawrence University. It’s Over or It’s Eden is her debut novel.
Rebecca is the 2020 Winner of the Hal Prize, a 2016 Peace Corps storytelling finalist, and has written for numerous print and digital publications. Her debut novel, It’s Over or It’s Eden, is a first contact novel set in the Rocky Mountains. Rebecca is at work on her next project, a science fiction duology.
Rebecca M. Zornow is an alumna of Lawrence University. After graduation, she served in the Peace Corps where she started school libraries and an art club in rural eSwatini. Rebecca is a former magazine editor-in-chief and runs the book coaching business Conquer Books with her sister, the writer Nicole Van Den Eng. Together with their brother, they founded Conquer Con, Appleton’s science fiction and fantasy convention. Rebecca is also a board member of the Caneille Regional Development Fund.
A free writing group hosted at the Elisha D. Smith Public Library in Menasha, WI. The SMITHworks Writing Group takes place on the second Monday of the month 6:30-7:30 PM.
